Websites go down, usually at a bad moment. A simple monitor tells you within minutes, instead of a customer telling you the next day.

What to watch

Check the things that matter to your business.

  • The home page loads
  • The contact or quote form works
  • The shop checkout, if you have one
  • Your certificate has not expired

Tell the right people

Send alerts by email and phone to at least two people. An alert nobody sees is no use, so agree who responds and how quickly.

Have a first response

Write down the first three things to check, who your hosting contact is and where the latest backup is. A short list makes a stressful moment manageable.
