Most CRM failures are not about the software. They happen because people find it easier to keep using the old way.
Why adoption fails
The causes are usually human.
- Too many fields to fill in
- No clear benefit for the person entering data
- Managers still ask for spreadsheets
- Nobody trained the team properly
Make it worth their time
Show salespeople what they get back: reminders, ready made quotes and less admin. If it saves them effort, they will use it.
Lead by example
Run your sales meeting from the CRM, and stop accepting updates by any other route. Once the old way stops working, the new one sticks.
