Hiring a team in another country can work very well, or very badly. The difference is usually in a few checks made before the contract is signed, not in the country itself.
Check how they communicate
Ask how updates are shared, how fast questions are answered and who you will talk to. A clear written reply to your first enquiry tells you a lot about how the project will run.
Ask for evidence
Look for proof that they have delivered similar work.
- Live examples you can open and use
- References you are allowed to contact
- A written description of how they run a project
- A clear answer on who owns the code
Plan for problems
Every project meets surprises. Ask how changes to scope are agreed, how bugs found after launch are handled and what happens if you want to move the work elsewhere.
