Both routes are legitimate. The right choice depends on what the site must do, how much it will change and what happens if you outgrow it.
When a template builder is enough
If you need a few pages, a contact form and little else, and you are happy to edit it yourself, a template builder can be a sensible start.
When custom is worth it
A custom build makes sense when the site is central to the business.
- You need bookings, accounts or special calculators
- Speed and search visibility matter to your sales
- You want to own and move the site freely
- The design must match a clear brand
- You expect the site to grow over years
The cost over time
Compare the monthly fees, the limits and the cost of moving later, not only the first price. A cheap start can become expensive to leave.
