An MVP is not a bad product. It is a deliberately small one that lets real users tell you what to build next.
Pick one job
Choose the single most important thing a user must be able to do and build only the path to it. Everything else goes on a list for later.
What to leave out
Early versions rarely need these.
- Many user roles and permissions
- Advanced reports
- Every integration customers might ask for
- Polish that does not affect the main task
Learn from users
Put it in front of a few real users quickly, watch what they do and change the plan based on that, not on opinions in a meeting.
