Developers, project managers and property owners usually shortlist contractors online before they call. A construction website has a simple job: show what you do, prove you can be trusted with it and make it easy to ask for a quote. Here is what that looks like in practice, drawing on our work with RAMZ Civil & Construction in Limpopo.

Give each service its own page

If you offer formwork, scaffolding, ready-mix concrete and renovations, give each one a page of its own. Buyers searching for a specific service land on a page that matches what they need, and search engines can match each page to the right searches.

The RAMZ website has a page for each of its six services, plus a section explaining how they combine into one coordinated programme.

Put your credentials up front

Show your company registration number, your CIDB grading if you are registered, your approach to health and safety, and any relevant certifications or insurance. Tender teams and clients often check these early, so making them easy to find saves everyone time. Only list credentials you actually hold.

Explain how a project runs

A short, clear process removes uncertainty. RAMZ sets out eight stages, from enquiry and site review to quotation, planning, execution, quality review and completion, so clients can see what will happen and when they will hear back.

Make quoting easy from site

  • A Request a quote button in the header of every page
  • Click-to-call for people on site
  • A WhatsApp button so clients can send plans and photos straight from their phones
  • A short quote form that asks only for what you need to respond

Show real projects

Photos of your own work, with a location and a one-line scope, beat stock images every time. If you use illustrative photos, say so. Clients notice when the pictures do not match the company.

Help local clients find you

Complete your Google Business Profile, list the regions you work in and add GeneralContractor structured data to your website. Write page titles that include your services and your area, for example scaffolding hire in Limpopo, so both search engines and AI assistants can tell where you operate.
